First and foremost, I want to say THANK YOU so much to each and every one of you who has supported me, encouraged me, challenged me, and helped me along the way to enable this dream to become a reality.
My story is not unlike any other, I am just a girl, who woke up one night and asked herself, "What are we going to do tonight?" and of course Brain replied, "The same thing we do every night Pinky, try to take over the world!"....one gift basket at a time! If you get that reference, I am sure we can be friends <3

Simply put, I love what I do. Have you ever received the perfect gift, exactly what you wanted, what you needed? Do you remember how that felt? It's not even about the physical object at that point, it's that feeling that someone actually listened, someone remembered, someone was paying attention to what you like, what you want, what you enjoy. Then on top of that, that person put the effort in whether it be physically, mentally, emotionally, monetarily, or all of the above to acquire it for you.
There's a Japanese concept called 'Ikigai' It's the intersection of What you love, What you're good at, What the world needs, and What you can be paid for. I like I'm sure many of you did, found myself soul searching during the COVID-19 pandemic. Was I happy? What did I really want to do? Is there something more that I could do? Out of that, along with the help of an extremely supportive partner, HARVEST- Gift Boutique was born.
I have a full-time day job, but I love giving gifts, and what woman doesn't love shopping? I have always been complimented on my gift giving ability, and I'd like to think that is due in part because I am a good listener. Yes, I have a degree in psychology and I think that helps to truly understand someone, but I was also an extremely shy and quiet kid who did a lot more listening that she did talking. In today's world I feel like it's always the extroverts who are pushing the introverts to "Come out of their shell", but you never heard an introvert telling an extrovert they should, "Be quiet and listen". I had a hard time finding my place until I realized as an adult that maybe that was just my personality and maybe that was okay, in fact maybe it could be a strength! There's a great book called "Quiet- The Power of Introverts in a World that Can't Stop Talking" by Susan Cain that I consider a must read on the subject.
I say all that to say, I don't just want this to be a business. While I do hope you enjoy my gift baskets and find exactly what you want or are looking for, I also hope to utilize this blog section to communicate, to share, to listen, to bounce ideas off of each other and answer questions.
